1. SOLOISTS CAN ONLY ENTER A MAXIMUM OF FIVE (5) SOLOS PER DANCER (THAT NUMBER INCLUDES TITLE, WORLD CHAMPS SECTIONS)

2. YOU ARE ABLE TO REPEAT A SOLO IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SECTIONS

3. YOU CAN ONLY PERFORM THE SAME SOLO A MAXIMUM OF 2 TIMES FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT (EXCLUDES IF YOU MAKE GALA NIGHT)

//SOLOIST REGO PASS

Your 2024 Finals Solo Rego pass (which also covers you in Groups), will include a Finals T-Shirt and a Printed Program this year. As well as protecting the dancer from public liability insurance, providing dancer viewing (all non-sold out events). The dancer also receives a collectable rego pass and wristband to wear. You will be asked to provide the dancers T-Shirt size when paying for this pass.

// SOLOS (NO SEPERATE LEVELS AT WORLDS)

SOLOISTS AGE – You will enter the age section based on what age you were when you qualified. for example, if you were 7yrs old and qualified in 8&U, you would be eligible to enter 7&U at Finals. EVERY ENTRY WILL BE CHECKED AND CHANGED IF NECESSARY.

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA Soloists – Attain Double Platinum or Diamond scores at Regionals.

ROUTINE CAN BE DIFFERENT TO THE ONE YOU QUALIFIED WITH, BUT MUST BE SAME GENRE

 

// WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP (Soloists) 

Dancers entering WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIPS MUST also enter and perform in at least 1 General solo section at Finals with a different routine. If you enter and do not perform this solo, you will not be allowed to compete in the WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP section and you will not be refunded. NEW: Past winning World Finals or WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP routines cannot be repeated by anyone in this section, this includes handed down winning routines to a different dancer. Only exception is if it is the same dancer in the same year (eg Singapore Gala 2024 and World Finals 2024)

HOW TO QUALIFY  The only way to qualify for WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIPS is by scoring DOUBLE PLATINUM or DIAMOND at a Regional or Online.

WORLD SOLO CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING  Dancers that have qualified will have scored DOUBLE PLATINUM (90+) or higher at a Regional or Online (can only enter once, and it can be a new routine and genre). Sections will be split into heats if we receive a large amount of entries in any one section. Heat make-up will be determined by an unique “draw system” developed by Get the Beat.

AGE QUALIFYING   Mini (6&U), Petite (7-8yrs), Pre-Junior (9-10yrs),  Junior (11-12yrs), Teen (13-14yrs), Senior (15-16yrs), Senior Pre Professional (17+ yrs)  The Age section you fall in is based on the category you qualified with at your regional (tour stop) or lower. Example – if you competed in Petite at Perth, then you will compete in Petite at the Finals. For lower – if you qualified as a 12yr old in Teen at your regional, then you are welcome to compete in Junior at finals.

// ENTERTAINMENT TITLE (MISS/MR GTB) (Soloists) 

​ENTERTAINMENT TITLE QUALIFYING  Dancers that have competed in a Miss/Mr GTB section at a GTB Tour Stop may enter this (can only enter once, and it can be a repeated routine from any other section at Finals and any genre). Sections will be split into heats if we receive a large amount of entries in any one section.

AGE QUALIFYING   Mini (6&U), Petite (7-8yrs), Pre-Junior (9-10yrs),  Junior (11-12yrs), Intermediate (13-14yrs), Senior (15+yrs)  The Age section you fall in is based on the category you qualified with at your regional (tour stop) or lower. Example – if you competed in Petite at Perth, then you will compete in Petite at the Finals. For lower – if you qualified as a 12yr old in Intermediate at your regional, then you are welcome to compete in Junior at finals.

NOTE 4: There will be Six (6) Miss and Six (6) Mr sections.

DANCERS AGE – Based on January 1, 2024, Oldest member in the group.

THE FINALS QUALIFYING CRITERIA Qualify at a Regional or Online. 1 for 1 qualifying (eg qualify with 5 routines, enter 10 at Finals). Contact the office for manual entry only - you won't be able to enter online.

ROUTINE AND AGE GROUP CAN BE DIFFERENT TO THE ONE YOU QUALIFIED WITH

ALL GALA WINNING ROUTINES FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR ARE INELIGIBLE TO QUALIFY FOR THE GALA IN THE CURRENT YEAR. This applies only if the routine is the same routine as last year (irrespective of who the dancers are)
