Quick reference for your entries:

1. Welcome to GTB 2024! We cannot wait to see you in Season 12!!

​

Whilst we allow you to repeat dances in certain sections, you may only perform a certain routine twice at an event, eg you can perform in My First Solo and then repeat that dance in a general style section (eg lyrical), or perform a Jazz and repeat that at Miss GTB. You cannot do the same routine more than 2 times at any event.

​

You cannot repeat a dance in the Open section, please read the rules - this is a section designed for styles we don't offer, or a 2ND routine of a style you have - eg you have 2 x different Lyrical's.

​

The Beginner section is just one section and it is Any Style, designed for kids with less than 18 months stage experience. You can perform one solo in this. Please don't enter multiple Beginner solos - its just one section per age group.

​

My First Solo - this is for Kids genuinely competing for the first time ever at any competition with a solo.

​

ONE Dancer entry per form please, this makes it easier when we create the programs for you.

​

Be very careful when entering DANCER NAME - if you put your name it will show in the program.

REGIONAL INFORMATION

BEGINNER SOLO

Available for all Dancers with less than 18 months solo competition experience. The Section will be "Any style". Dancers may repeat their beginner solo routine in the general solos sections - this requires an additional entry.

CAN ONLY ENTER THIS SECTION ONCE. DANCERS CANNOT PERFORM MORE THAN 1 BEGINNER SOLO AT AN EVENT.

This section does not qualify for Age Champion overalls or "Best in Style" as it can be a repeat performance.

CHAMPION DANCER

Your favourite solo. Can be a repeat dance, can be a brand new dance. This section does not qualify for Age Champion overalls or "Best in Style" as it can be a repeat performance.

MR + MISS GTB ENTERTAINMENT

​Were you born to entertain?? Then this section is for you! 100% about entertainment, bring your best acting and performance skills to a regional! You can repeat a dance here. This section does not qualify for Age Champion overalls or "Best in Style" as it can be a repeat performance.

This section is only for Solo styles  - Musical Theatre, Broadway Jazz/Cabaret, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Song + Dance, Tap

MY FIRST SOLO

Will this be your very first solo on a stage at any competition? we have a section for you!!

You can even compete in My First Solo plus the regular sections with the same dance :) (additional entry required)

Remember this must be your first solo at any competition, not just GTB.

This section does not qualify for Age Champion overalls or "Best in Style" as it can be a repeat performance.

 

WORLD FINALS

​Dancers can qualify for our World Finals in December 2024 in Sydney Australia.

​

REGO ADMIN FEE

This is compulsory for each dancer and covers all viewing, digital program production and delivery, public liability insurance, plus the increase in administration due to current global events. Please note this fee is non-refundable for such instances as "change of mind", "conflict of other events on at the time", "no show" etc - Injuries we can accommodate with transfers to other events

PROGRAM - FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

Please ensure to check the program draft and make sure your child is in the correct age group (age is based on the start day of each regional for solos, duos, trios. Also check for spelling and correct styles. email info@gtbdance.com if you see any issues.

*Any changes AFTER the program has been numbered and finalised will incur a $5 per change charge

 

MUSIC - FREE at GTB!!

We will ask for you to upload your music into your dropbox prior to each competition, an email will be sent 1-2 weeks before the start date once programs have been numbered. If you have entered multiple GTB Regionals you will need to do this for EACH regional as the competitor numbers will be different for each one. Your dropbox is the same folder you will receive your judges audio feedback once the competition is done. We will announce when we have sent these out and you will put your music in labelled the following way – ACT NUMBER-NAME-STYLE (eg 15-EBONY HART-JAZZ)
WE DO NOT PLAY CD’S AT GTB EVENTS

*If you do not submit your music before the deadline a $5 per act charge will result.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

Please note, GTB and Supreme events are prepared months in advance, your entries into our events weeks or months before we run them are invested into an entire year of tour which may include - Prizes, Non refundable Venue Deposits, Staff Travel and Accommodation, Flooring, Judges and their travel, Fixtures, Administration, etc. 

• No refunds are given for change of mind, other commitments, or clash with another competition.

• If a dancer becomes injured, an event transfer will become available, or credit for the following year will apply. Medical proof will be required.

• If GTB is forced to cancel an event (State or Federal Government direction or venue enforced cancellation) the event will become an online regional and we will accept old videos or newly created studio or home videos from dancers.

JUDGES AUDIO FEEDBACK

These will be placed in a dropbox folder and emailed to you.

 

ARRIVAL

Doors will open approx 30 minutes to one hour before start time each day. Please check program and arrive a good time before your child is scheduled to dance.

 

VIEWING

There will be a small door fee for viewing for all audience.

 

PHOTOS/VIDEOS

These will all be instant and can be purchased at the event itself FOR MOST REGIONALS.

AWARDS PROCESS

At GTB we work on a National scoring system with 4 levels, each dancer will receive a prize based on their level and placing in their section. 

​

REGIONAL AWARDS SYSTEM
All solo sections: 1st place: Custom GTB Award, 2nd/3rd place: GTB Custom Mega Medal
4th place onwards (eg everyone else in the section): Custom GTB medallion.

All performances will be announced with the corresponding scoring level at awards time (HIGH GOLD (0-80) PLATINUM (81-90) DBL PLATINUM (90-95) DIAMOND (95-100) (BLACK DIAMOND AWARDS ARE EXCLUSIVE TO GTB FINALS)

• HIGH GOLD will not qualify you for GTB Finals

• PLATINUM will qualify you for GTB Finals and World Finals

• DBL PLATINUM will qualify you for GTB Finals and World Finals, plus the prestigious Champion of Champions sections

• DIAMOND will qualify you for GTB Finals and World Finals, plus the prestigious Champion of Champions sections

MY FIRST SOLO: If dancer competed in this section they qualify for Rookie of the Year. Can also qualify for Champion of Champions if score is above 90.

​

CHAMPION SOLO SECTION: Separate section from general solos, doesn't qualify dancer for high point awards. For Junior/Teen/Senior age groups - This section does not qualify for "Best in Style" as it can be a repeat performance.

​

CHAMPION OF CHAMPION QUALIFIERS - These dancers names will be read out on stage and handed an info sheet.

​

HIGH POINT: Judge discretion based on score levels as to how many of these are handed out on stage. This is taken from general solo sections only (not including My First Solo, Beginner, Mr/Miss GTB, Champion solo and Duo/Trio sections). Age Champion and Runner Up are determined from this.

​

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For our recap posts on social media, we announce the specialty award winners, Best in Style (general solo sections only), Miss/Mr GTB, Aggregate Soloist, Age Champions, Dream Jr and Overall Highest Scoring Soloist. The Overall Highest Scoring Soloist could be from any section, so could even be a dancer that didn't win age champion (as it can be from the Champion sections that don't go towards the age champion)

New rule going forward – If you are not present for your awards – you do not receive them. Please nominate someone else to collect on your behalf, we will not go back through and find what you didn’t collect after awards have been completed on stage.

​

For Solos/Duos/Trios you will compete at Finals as at the age you first qualified and entered finals in the 2024 season (irrespective of age at next regional – unless you did not enter at the time of qualifying younger)

This is all written on the Certificates when you receive them.

 

FINALS QUALIFYING

Solos – to qualify for National sections, Dancer must receive a Platinum, Double Platinum or Diamond score and receive a Golden Ticket, or receive a Golden Ticket if the judge feels they can perform at Nationals. 
Duos/Trios – to qualify for Nationals, 1st-3rd finish is necessary
Groups – to qualify – 1st-5th finish is necessary and 1 for 1 qualifying is allowed, meaning if you qualify for 5 routines in groups you can enter 10 at Nationals.
